Joe Ludlow
Until recently Joe was Head of Consultancy at Camberwell – a regeneration consultancy working with charities and social enterprises on business and operational management, raising finance and managing property development projects.
He was previously Senior Investment Manager for Venturesome, a leading social investment fund where he was responsible for over £4m of risk capital investment into social enterprises and led the creation of the £2m Community Land Trust Fund.
Joe is also a Trustee of GVEP International, an organisation assisting the development of energy markets in the developing world. Joe holds a MEng from Cambridge University and MA from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College.
Barry Clarke OBE
Barry has international and national NGO experience as Chair of the International Save the Children Alliance from 2002 – 2008 and previously Chair of Save the Children UK. He is currently a director of Save the Children Romania.
He has developed effective partnerships between companies and non-profit organisations, advised leading NGOs on values and strategy and consulted government departments on projects ranging from crime prevention to the promotion of information technology.
Barry has had a distinguished career in marketing and communications with Procter & Gamble, McCann-Erickson and the Abbott Mead Vickers/BBDO Group,where he was a member of the UK group management team and the founder chairman of Proximity, one of the UK’s leading integrated marketing firms.
He has a degree from Oxford University. His professional background is in the voluntary and government sectors. He ran a number of charity sector training and research programmes before moving onto the Civil Service Fast Stream, where he spent three years at the Department of Health working on ID cards and counter-terrorism, and a year at DFID working on the G8 and Iraq. He also wrote the international development strategy for the NHS.
Will first went to Kenya in 1998 as a teacher; he co-founded Harambee Schools Kenya in 1999 and remains its Chairman. Since then HSK has raised over £700,000, with which it has built three schools from scratch and renovated eight.
He also consults for governments, social enterprises and development organisations through Baringo Consulting.
Niki spent 35+ years in Government service, of which the last 8 were as Director of Transport Security and Contingencies in the Department for Transport. Prior to that she held posts across international liaison, but also HR (recruitment, training, leadership).
For two years she was Course Director for the Cabinet Office’s Top Management Programme. Niki’s skills and experience are in the areas of leadership, management and organizational development, risk management, capacity building, development of effective international bilateral and multilateral relationships, crisis management and contingency planning.
